Legal framework: official rules, double opt-in, data protection
The legal toolkit is included so your data protection officer can approve quickly. This is not legal advice, but it covers the building blocks usually expected.
- Official rules template
- In English and German, with placeholders for organiser, period, prize and draw. Linked in the calendar before anyone enters.
- Double opt-in
- Participants confirm their email address via link. Only then does the entry count, and only then does the address appear in the export.
- Separate consents
- Entering and subscribing to the newsletter are two decisions. The newsletter checkbox is optional and unticked by default.
- Data protection and DPA
- Servers in Germany, calendar content only for people with the link. You conclude the data processing agreement in one click when you purchase.

The building blocks are included: an official rules template in English and German, separate consents for entry and newsletter, double opt-in and the data processing agreement in one click. This is not legal advice, but it covers what data protection officers usually expect.
How much effort is it for us?

Do the giveaway contacts end up in our CRM or newsletter tool?
In the Business plan you export confirmed entries as CSV and import them into your system. A direct integration can be set up on request in the Custom plan.

Can we embed the calendar on our website?

Yes, AdventJoy runs on servers in Germany, without trackers and without a cookie banner. You conclude the data processing agreement in one click when you purchase; sub-processors are listed in the privacy policy.
